Don has bottom-line management responsibility for all aspects of the Cooked Products Group. This includes a mini-corndog plant in Hemingway, SC as well as cook plants in Mocksville, NC and Forest Park, GA.
A graduate of Florida State University, Don has industry experience in chicken, turkey, and further processing operations gained while working in positions of increasing responsibility with Cargill, Foster Farms, and House of Raeford, where he previously served as Chief Financial Officer and, more recently, President & COO. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Chicken Council, is a past member of the NCC Executive Committee, and has served on the Boards of Directors of the National Turkey Federation, the North Carolina Poultry Federation, Duplin County Economic Development Commission, and several nonprofits. Prior to rejoining House of Raeford in 1997, he spent 12 years as president of an R&D firm providing technology integration and strategic planning services to red meat, poultry, and further processing operations throughout the US and Canada. Don is married with three children and one grandchild.
