House of Raeford Employees Lend a Helping Hand to Hurricane Victims

During one of the most tumultuous hurricane seasons in recent history, House of Raeford Farms employees are working together to provide relief to those in need in Texas and Florida.

In Mocksville, North Carolina, employees collected non-perishables, water, pet food, towels, baby wipes and other supplies to send to those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Huffman, Texas, and Hurricane Irma in Fort Myers, Florida. Employees loaded two tractor trailers full of supplies on Sept. 20 and sent them to relief groups and distribution centers serving the affected areas.

In Greenville, South Carolina, employees worked with area churches to fill 5-gallon buckets with toiletries, wash clothes, towels and other supplies to help people affected by the recent hurricanes in Florida and Texas. Employees even competed to see which department could collect the most supplies. All supplies collected were sent to Florida on Sept. 29.

“House of Raeford is not a company to sit idly by in the face of disaster,” said Curtis Carr, director of community outreach for House of Raeford. “Our employees saw a need, and they banded together to do what they could to help, and encouraged the company to get involved as well. Our hearts and prayers go out to those affected by these natural disasters.”
