House of Raeford Farms is proud to announce that seven of their poultry processing
plants have achieved SQF (Safe Quality Food) certification. The latest to achieve this
milestone were raw chicken processing plants in Greenville, SC and Rose Hill, NC as
well as a raw turkey processing facility and a further processing plant in Raeford, NC.
All of these operations received the SQF 2000 Level 2 designation.
They join the company’s Hemingway, SC further processing plant that earlier received
SQF 2000 Level 3 certification together with the Arcadia, LA and Wallace, NC chicken
processing plants that attained Level 2.
“Providing safe, wholesome, quality foods to the consumer is one of the major goals of
House of Raeford”, said Dave Witter, Manager of Corporate Sustainability and
Communications. “This certification enables us to assure our customers that food has
been produced, processed, prepared, and handled according to the highest possible
standards, at all levels of the supply chain.”
The SQF program is a leading global food safety, quality certification and management
system, designed to meet the needs of buyers and suppliers worldwide. It provides
independent certification that a supplier’s food safety and quality management system
complies with international and domestic food safety regulations.
