Rose Hill Operation Spotlights Company and Community Pride

Nearly a year ago, a group of dedicated employees at House of Raeford Farms’ Rose Hill, North Carolina operation launched Company and Community Pride (CCP). Their goal was simple but powerful: to raise funds and support outreach projects that make life better for both employees and local residents. What began as a small idea has quickly grown into a source of pride for the entire operation.

CCP builds on a long-standing company commitment to service. More than 15 years ago, House of Raeford established FLOCK, a nonprofit organization created to help those who serve others expand their reach across communities in the Southeast. CCP follows that same mission, but with a special focus on the people who work at the Rose Hill plant and the neighbors who live around it.

Over the past year, CCP has organized a wide range of creative fundraising activities. Employees have enjoyed everything from a lively 3‑on‑3 basketball tournament – complete with a full concession stand – to a friendly dart board toss. The team grilled hotdogs and hamburgers for break-time snacks and held 50/50 raffles that added excitement while raising money for a worthy cause.

These efforts have already made a meaningful impact. Before the start of the 2025–26 school year, CCP provided book bags and school supplies to employees’ children. During the holidays, residents of a local assisted living home received personalized Christmas gift baskets, along with a special gift for the facility itself – a new gas grill for residents and staff to enjoy.

This month, CCP is taking on its most ambitious project yet: packing 20,000 meals in partnership with the Charity Mission Center in Rose Hill and The Outreach Program. CCP will fund the meals and coordinate a volunteer team of about 80 employees and community members to pack them. Once completed, the meals will be distributed to food pantries and other organizations across surrounding counties.

As CCP continues to grow, so does the enthusiasm among Rose Hill employees. The initiative has sparked a renewed sense of unity and purpose throughout the plant. “I have been told that the team wants to hold volleyball, softball, and soccer tournaments as well as a variety of other fundraising activities,” said Nicole Reynolds, plant manager. “It is difficult to slow them down when they get so excited.”

The momentum behind CCP reflects something deeper than fundraising – it shows what can happen when people come together with a shared commitment to supporting one another. With each project, CCP is strengthening the bonds between the company, its employees, and the community they call home.
