The overriding purpose of both groups is to empower America’s children to live their best lives possible.
Therefore, as we celebrate the Month of the Military Child in April and Military Appreciation Month in May, FLOCK will match all contributions to Camp Corral up to a maximum of $20,000 made through the special donation button below.
Camp Corral has served more than 30,000 military-connected children from across the country! This testimony from one military family underscores the tragedy, pain, hope, and restoration process offered by Camp Corral:
Sophie and her older sister, Victoria, are long-time Camp Corral Campers. Their little sister, Calla, is excited to turn eight years old so she can follow in their footsteps next summer. “It’s a different feeling when the people you’re surrounded with have all been through the same experiences you have growing up.”
Sophie and Victoria have attended Camp Corral a combined 11 summers. Their mom is grateful for the relationships and friendships they have created throughout the years. “It’s easier to make friends since we have so much in common…conversations flowed really easy from the start,” adds Victoria.
Their father, a post-9/11 Army veteran wounded during his service, appreciates the opportunities his daughters have had to connect with other military children. “It really helps them to understand how they are not the only ones to go through this. I do not think people understand how hard it is on kids…to have a parent in the military. Camp Corral gives them a way to work through that.”
