Benjamin Franklin once said, “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” For the past nine years, House of Raeford Farms has been providing scholarships to dependent children and grandchildren of our employees, supporting these students in attaining their dreams. Awards total $332,500 to 133 students across six states.
Teliyah Carr, a graduate of Howard University School of Law, had this to say about her scholarship experience. “I will be forever grateful for the generosity and support shown by House of Raeford Farms. My mom has worked for the company over 30 years, and I definitely see why.”
Former scholarship awardee José Borja shared, “The best part about receiving the award letter was the congratulatory hug my mother gave me upon reading it. There is no greater feeling than when the person you love the most expresses how proud she is of you.” José graduated from UNC-Wilmington with a biology degree.
Testimonies like these and many others make House of Raeford’s dedication to youth development a rewarding endeavor. Providing children the opportunity to learn gives direction to their lives, and allows them to accomplish more than they ever imagined.
Qualifying college undergraduate and graduate students may learn details of the program and access applications at our scholarship website.
