House of Raeford Farms – A Relationship-Driven Company

As we reflect on 2024, we are grateful for a year of growth and success, guided by our mission: “To Do the Right Thing in All Things That We Do.” This mission has helped us build meaningful relationships with our employees, farmers, customers, and the communities where we operate.

This year, we expanded our operations by adding the Vienna and Oglethorpe, Georgia ready-to-cook complex. We have already made major equipment upgrades, and we are thankful for the new associates who have joined our team. Expansion will continue next year at both the Vienna plant and in live production.

Our other southeast U.S. complexes also had a successful year, maintaining a solid position in a competitive market. The dedication of our employees has been crucial to our accomplishments, and we greatly appreciate their commitment.

Our farmers are at the heart of our business. Their caring and responsible approach ensures a safe, quality, and nutritious final product. Our partnership with these farmers grows stronger over time, and we deeply value their contributions.

Understanding the needs of our customers and tailoring our products and services to meet those needs is our approach to sales. This relationship is a win-win for both parties, and we look forward to continued growth in 2025.

Since our founding in the 1950s, giving back to local communities has been a hallmark of House of Raeford. Through our nonprofit organization, House of Raeford Farms FLOCK, we address hunger relief, youth development, mental illness treatment, and addiction recovery. Although our outreach this year involved much more, here are some highlights:

  • Donated approximately 400,000 pounds of chicken to produce 1.2 million meals.
  • Provided relief to those affected by Hurricane Helene by contributing 100,000 pounds of chicken, non-perishable supplies, and a $25,000 monetary gift to Samaritan’s Purse. Read the full story: https://houseofraeford.com/news/hurricane-helene-relief-for-our-neighbors/.
  • Supported youth development through Camp Corral, Access of Wilmington, MedCamps of Louisiana, and local schools.
  • Continued our behavioral health initiative in Duplin County, NC schools addressing mental health needs of students.
  • Awarded $80,000 in college scholarships to deserving children and grandchildren of our employees.

This year, we mourned the untimely passing of some of our friends and colleagues. We are grateful for their service and extend our prayers to their families.

I am very pleased with the relationships we enjoy with our employees, farmers, customers, suppliers, FLOCK partners, and their families. We pray that you receive the blessings God has so graciously provided to us this year and in the future. Thank you all!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
