House of Raeford Farms’ Holiday Outreach to Feed the Hungry

House of Raeford Farms, Inc., with corporate offices in Rose Hill, NC, has reached out both
internally and externally to individuals and families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas
seasons, providing much needed assistance in the communities where we have operations.

Through House of Raeford Farms F.L.O.C.K. (Faithful Love Offering for Christ’s Kingdom),
the company’s non-profit outreach ministry, over 45,000 pounds of turkey and chicken were
donated to North and South Carolina, Georgia, and Louisiana employees, food banks, feeding
programs, and a wide variety of local organizations whose mission is to provide food and other
support to those in need. In addition, employees of the Greenville, SC plant, the Rose Hill and
Wallace, NC plants, and the Nash Johnson & Sons’ Farms live production operation held a Food
Drive to assist residents in their community. Nearly 1,500 pounds of non-perishable food was
collected and given to local organizations for distribution. In addition, the Rose Hill and Wallace
operations collected toys for children who may not otherwise have received gifts for Christmas.
Our Hemingway, SC operation donated 500 pounds of chicken nuggets to a local Williamsburg
County initiative to feed the hungry.

“F.L.O.C.K. endeavors to honor the Godly principle of providing guidance and care to the
hungry, the thirsty, the lonely, the naked, the sick, and the imprisoned”, said Curtis Carr,
Director of Community Outreach for the company. “We try to responsibly distribute our
resources to help meet these needs with House of Raeford Farms’ employees and through
worthwhile local ministries with likeminded objectives.”

“We are constantly amazed at the number of caring people in our communities who provide aid
to others who are less fortunate”, Carr continued. “It truly blesses us to be a partner in their
efforts”.
