Two years ago, House of Raeford Farms FLOCK established an ongoing partnership with Camp Corral. Developing, encouraging, and healing young people so they can achieve God’s purpose for their lives is the common thread flowing through both organizations.
Since its inception in 2011, Camp Corral has served more than 30,000 military-connected children across the country by offering summer camp experiences at no cost to the child’s family. Hurting young people from the homes of wounded, ill, and fallen military heroes are empowered to live their best lives possible.
As one parent of a camper shared, “Camp Corral provided the rest our child needed from veteran family struggles and reignited their inner kid to be goofy and have fun!”
Another testimonial from the spouse of a retired service member suffering with PTSD:
“Our family has been through many challenges and these were particularly hard years for us as a family and my husband’s PTSD episodes. Our daughter, at age 16, in many ways is her father’s caregiver. She bears many of the burdens of this disease and its manifestations in our family. This camp with other military families gives us a chance to reconnect, regain trust in each other, and engage in healthy outdoor activities. I cannot tell you what that opportunity means to us as a family as we rebuild relationships.”
