House of Raeford Farms Helps to Put the Joy in Jubilee

Chicken wings, carnival rides, and bands, oh my! House of Raeford Farms is thrilled to once again participate in the North Carolina Poultry Jubilee in Rose Hill, North Carolina on Friday, Nov. 3 and Saturday, Nov. 4. The two-day Jubilee features a variety of family-friendly events such as a chicken-wing cook-off, live music, and carnival rides.

The Jubilee celebrates the North Carolina poultry industry in House of Raeford’s hometown, where founders Marvin and Bizzell Johnson got their start. In partnership first with the local Jaycees and later with the Rose Hill Chamber of Commerce, House of Raeford is a long-time participant in the Jubilee.

This year’s jubilee will feature live music on Friday night, as well as a competitive chicken wing cook-off which includes three House of Raeford teams. Saturday will be a day to remember as fried chicken is cooked in the World’s Largest Frying Pan. Measuring 15 feet in diameter and weighing two tons, the World’s Largest Frying Pan can hold 200 gallons of cooking oil and cook 365 chickens at a time. Saturday’s festivities also includes a cake auction, a performance by the North Carolina Poultry Jubilee Queen and her Court, and more live music.

Whether you’re driving to the beach or simply looking for a fun fall event, the North Carolina Poultry Jubilee is guaranteed to create a weekend full of memories!
